Black Neon Tetra is a popular freshwater schooling fish loved for its elegant contrast, active swimming behaviour, and community-friendly nature. Its dark body is highlighted by a pale shimmering stripe and a subtle black band, making it stand out beautifully in planted aquariums with driftwood, rocks, or dark substrate. This species is well suited for beginners as well as experienced hobbyists because it is hardy, adaptable, and generally easy to maintain in stable tank conditions.

These tetras are at their best when kept in a proper school, where they display tighter swimming patterns, better colour, and more natural confidence. Black Neon Tetras work especially well in peaceful community tanks with other small non-aggressive fish. Their manageable adult size and calm temperament make them a great option for nano-to-medium freshwater setups.
